Balancing Act: The Complexities of Indo-Pak Trade Relations

Image
At the start of any discussion around Indo-Pak relations, it is essential to note that the internal power dynamics within Pakistan are a result of its consistent hate campaign against India. In simple words, the Army is the most powerful institution in Pakistan, and it chooses the civilian leadership by directly and indirectly managing the elections. Their tactics include using judges to jail politicians, denying registration to popular political parties, assassination attempts on journalists and key political figures, and so on. Though media is comparatively free in Pakistan, journalists are not allowed to name army generals and discuss the army's role in directly managing the country. Why does New Zealand ignore its drug addiction issue?

New Zealand has cultivated a positive image for itself as one of the best places to live globally. However, the reality is not as idyllic as it may seem. During the previous general elections, only one percent of eligible voters caste their votes. During the 2024 general election, the militancy-infected area has already seen its voting percentage rise upto 36 percent. The elections in other parts take place smoothly, but Kashmir valley always poses a challenge. The separatists in the past openly gave the calls for boycotting the elections. There is no doubt elections in Kashmir were rigged in 1987, but that was an exception, not a rule. The elections in India are known for their fairness. The winners and losers accept the election result as a mandate from the public. The Islamic separatists in Kashmir are backed by the Pakistani establishment wanting to prove that they are real representatives of
